PROFESSOR HENRY BRODATY, AO, MB BS, MD, DSc, FRACP, FRANZCP, (principal investigator)Professor Brodaty is Scientia Professor of Ageing and Mental Health, UNSW; Consultant, Aged Care Psychiatry and Head of the Memory Disorders Clinic, Prince of Wales Hospital. He is the Director of the Dementia Collaborative Research Centre (Assessment and Better Care) and Co-Director of the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA) at UNSW. He is dedicated to finding ways to prevent cognitive decline and dementia.

pROFESSOR PERMINDER SACHDEV, AM, MD, PhD, FRANZCPPerminder Sachdev AM MBBS MD FRANZCP PhD FAAHMS is Scientia Professor of Neuropsychiatry & Co-Director, Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA), School of Psychiatry, UNSW, and Clinical Director, Neuropsychiatric Institute (NPI), POWH, Sydney, Australia. In 2011 he was appointed Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to medical research.

PROFESSOR MARIA A. FIATARONE SINGH, MD, FRACPMaria A. Fiatarone Singh is the John Sutton Chair of Exercise and Sport Science and Professor, Sydney Medical School, at the University of Sydney. She is a geriatrician whose research, clinical, and teaching career has focused on the integration of medicine, exercise physiology, and nutrition as a means to improve health status and quality of life across the lifespan.

PROFESSOR MICHAEL VALENZUELAProfessor Valenzuela established and leads the Regenerative Neuroscience Group (RNG) at the Brain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney. His research is focused on understanding the competing forces of neuroplasticity and degeneration in the ageing brain, and harnessing this knowledge to prevent and treat dementia.

PROFESSOR GAVIN ANDREWS, AO, MD, FRCPsych, FRANZCPProfessor Andrews is Professor of Psychiatry at UNSW and St Vincent’s Hospital. He is the Director of the UNSW School of Psychiatry at St Vincent’s Hospital where he heads the Anxiety and Depression Clinic, and the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression.

PROFESSOR Nicola Lautenschlager Professor Lautenschlager is a Professor of Old Age Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne, and is the Director of Research for the North Western Mental Health, Aged Persons Mental Health Program at Melbourne Health. Her current research focus is diagnosis of cognitive impairment and intervention trials for older adults to improve mental health outcomes.

PROFESSOR Anthony MaedeR, MSC, PHDProfessor Maeder joined Flinders University in April 2016 as Chair in Digital Health Systems from Western Sydney University, where he founded the Telehealth Research and Innovation Laboratory (THRIL) in 2010. He was previously appointed as Research Director of the CSIRO Australian eHealth Research Centre in Brisbane, from 2004 to 2008.

PROFESSOR John McNeil, MBBS, MSc, PhD, FRACP, FAFPHMProfessor McNeil has been the head of the Monash University Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine based at the Alfred Hospital in Prahran since 1986. His research background is in epidemiology and clinical pharmacology. He is Co-chief investigator (with professor Richard Grim in Minneapolis) of the ASPREE study.
